Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
Mateo 28:19,20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, la, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the
world-Amen.
We continue seeing a desire to learn and to share the Gospel among
our people. Just about every service we have a new visitor. We have a
few new converts we are dealing with about baptism. As soon as the
weather gets warm Lord willing we will be baptizing them. We are in the
winter season now, and having an outside baptism is a little cold;
especially in this culture where you don't drink “ice” with anything
during the winter.
We want to say thanks to all of you who sent cards or emails. On June
6, JoAnna and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary! The silver
anniversary is a great milestone in a marriage. With our family so far
away it was not a big fanfare; we enjoyed a nice day out just the two of
us. We are looking for many, many more to come! "
The Presidential election is over, and the new President (Alan
Garcia) will be sworn in on July 28. Please continue to pray for Peru.
We would ask you to keep our children in your prayers as well. JoAnna
and I had plans to travel in for the birth of our first grandson in
August. However those plans have changed for reasons not in our control.
The tickets we were lead to believe we had, we no longer have; and
because the increase in the cost in flying at this time, (the lowest
ticket is $1,200.00 each) so it is not financially possible. " . .', '
Please pray for Christina and husband the “little one”.

March 2006
Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
I read somewhere that grown men are not supposed to cry! So I am
considering myself not to be a grown man.
In the months of January and February we have see highs and lows.
January started out with most of our people traveling. By the middle of
the month they were back and ready to get back to studying. We had a
family leave the work and a family come back. One young man named Jim
was saved a while back and is going forward with baptism; this is a big
victory in his life. I will be baptizing him Sunday March 12. Pray for
his family, they have promised to come to Church that Sunday. One of the
lows in January was our only computer crashed again for the third time
in as many months. I am thankful for the internet cafes in the area and
friends that allow me to use their computers.
In February I received e-mails from three churches having to cut back
on missions support, and I put the car in the shop because the motor was
loosing compression. It will need a complete over-haul. Sunday, February
12 we had an attendance of 41. I was privileged to baptize Maria
Beuzeville. She and her husband (Javier) were saved in our work about a
year ago. He was baptized in December. The next Sunday we were down to
12 in attendance. Praise the Lord the next Sunday we had a good crowd
with three first time visitors. Two were saved: a police officer and his
wife.
Then this last Friday night my wife and another lady from our work
went to make a visit on the new family that just recently was saved.
While they were still in the car two men on a motorbike pulled up and
robbed them at gun point. PRAISE THE LORD they were not hurt, but lost
everything they had: jewelry, identification, bank cards, and car and
house keys. AND THEN CAME SUNDAY!! We had about 25 in services. We had a
great time of sing and testimony. My wife gave her testimony and thanked
the Lord for His protection. This same day Javier and Maria, who have
been faithful in church and Bible study, invited a friend to church and
she trusted Christ as her personal Savior!
I am thankful to know that God is in control of all our highs and of
all our lows.
P.S. In February we heard our grandbaby's heartbeat bye-mail!
As long as the Lord wills, Serving in Peru Eddie Goff
